The history of Blanxart starts in April 1954, in a rented ground floor workshop located in the Les Corts neighbourhood of Barcelona where a master chocolatier named Francesc Agrás, who after working for the premier chocolate shops in the city, decided to leave his prestigious job and open his own business. There he created what would become one of the most prestigious artisan chocolate factories in the region. Despite limited resources, but with great innovative spirit, Blanxart as a brand swiftly made inroads into the world of chocolate, quickly obtaining huge prestige due to the high quality and design of the products, inspired by the Arts of Barcelona’s History Museum.
Blanxart submit all products to stringent quality controls from start to finish and carries out the entire production process, from the roasting of the finest cocoa beans from Ghana, Congo, Guayaquil and the Dominican Republic to the final packaging.
